Much glory goes to the designer who creates an elegant logo or an iconic poster, not to the designer who spent many late nights assimilating a pile of poorly translated Word documents, painstakingly editing and correcting conflicting information, creating thoughtful layouts with enticing photos and verbiage. That said, polishing a project from cover to cover is the entire point of graphic design. It’s not just pretty; it thoroughly communicates a product or service. Alas, the glory of this brochure exists solely in my own head and not in my bank account. Visit Italy Tours declared bankruptcy, sold their assets, and the new owners aren’t inclined to pay for the work they usurped. Bummer.
